Club night this Monday 1 June at 7pm, Queens Birthday public holiday, will be open and bookings are no longer required.
Gatherings of up to 100 are now allowed subject to continuing our contact tracing and hygiene measures. There are no physical distancing requirements for a group up to 100. Physical distancing of 2 metres should, however, be maintained wherever possible. We are still required to adhere to the following:

• Hand washing/sanitising facilities on entry
• Contact tracing measures.
• No sharing of equipment
• Loan equipment (eg masks, gloves and clothing) need to be sanitised between users and between Club activities.
• Fencers and coaches should try to maintain a 2m separation when off piste.
• Non-participants/spectators should maintain a separation of 2m.

The Fencing Institute will be open for limited fencing from tomorrow Monday 18 May at the Fencing Institute.
 
We’ve set up systems so that we are able to open the club up under Alert Level 2 requirements.

The main requirements are:

1. Don’t come if you are unwell.
2. Only 10 people can be in the entire building at any one time. Book online for club nights on Monday and Wednesday. Aikido will be in the building on Tuesday and Thursdays.
3. You need to bring a phone to scan the QR code to come in.
4. Wash your hands
5. No sharing of equipment
6. Keep your distance when off the piste.

Club night fencing will start at 6pm for 45 minutes for the first 9 fencers. Then 7pm for another 9 fencers and 8pm for the last group.

If there is demand we can open up at other times. Hopefully these restrictions will only be for a short time.
